SankrantiSankranti marks the first day of each month of the Hindu calendar. At the Temple, the Naugraha Pooja, conducted at 7.00 a.m., is followed by the Havan at 7.30 a.m. The Gayatri Mantra is chanted a total of 108 times. The Nitya Karam is then recited. One chapter of the Bhagwad Geeta is recited and then the priest gives his parchaar.
